Free cycling tours

From June onwards, Lignano Sabbiadoro Gestioni is offering a series of free bike tours to help you get to know this wonderful city and its surroundings.

Every day, with a range of itineraries, you can experience the thrill of crossing rivers, countryside and lagoons  - all on your bike! There are a also sections of the excursions aboard ferries or boats that connect Lignano with the near cities and points of interest.

Excursions are available from June to September 2026.

• Wednesday | 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM or 9:30 AM - 7:00 PM | E-BIKE Lignano-Grado by bike & boat (55 km)*
• Thursday | 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM | Lignano-Marano by bike & boat (40 km)*
• Friday | 9:30 AM - 4:00 PM | Bibione’s Val Grande (30 km)*
• Friday | 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM | E-BIKE tour between the two rivers (40 km)
• Friday | 3:00-6:00 PM | Lignano Bike&Hike (12km bike + 3km walk)
• Saturday | 7:30-8:30 AM | Fat Sand Bike
• Sunday | 7:30-8:30 AM | Fat Sand Bike

*Note: Some excursions may include a boat trip for a fee, payable directly to the service provider.

IMPORTANT: Excursions can be booked starting from the Monday two weeks before the week of the selected excursion (e.g. all excursions for the week of June 29th can be booked from Monday, June 15th).

You can also explore Lignano and its surroundings on your own. If you don’t have a bike, you can take advantage of our free rental service by visiting our Bike Point, located at Beach Office No. 7 in Lignano Sabbiadoro, at Lungomare Trieste 9/A.

The bikes cannot be booked in advance; please visit the Bike Point directly to check real-time availability. Full-day rental is not permitted. A valid ID, being of legal age (18+), and the signing of a liability waiver are required.

Thanks to the support of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, we offer 4 specific e-bikes to ensure everyone can experience the thrill of a seaside ride:

• Platform Bike: Ideal for transporting wheelchair users.
• Side-by-Side Bike: Featuring two adjacent seats, perfect for visually impaired users or those with cognitive disabilities.

To ensure the best service, we recommend booking inclusive bikes via email or WhatsApp by 5:00 PM the day before. These bikes can be rented for the entire day during opening hours. A valid ID, being of legal age (18+), and a signed liability waiver are required.
