Excursion Lignano Bike & Hike

Bike&Hike is an increasingly widespread practice which consists of reaching a destination by bike, and then continuing with an excursion by feet. A formula that allows you to better discover the natural environment of the peninsula, among pine forests, fossil dunes and the mouth of the Tagliamento River.

EXCURSION DETAILS

Departure from the Bike Point (Beach Office n. 7 - Lignano Sabbiadoro) at 3.00 pm, stop along the road in the Bella Italia cycle path to admire the only consolidated dunes still present in Lignano, then proceed towards Lignano Riviera through the green corridors inside the pine forest. Once you reach the viale Tagliamento area, leave your bicycles for a short trek inside the Pineda Sinistra dune forest (FVG forest walker itinerary) which has a very high environmental, historical and landscape value: the dunes present inside reach a height of six meters! The topsoil is made up of a mixture of very rich environments of extreme ecological, floristic and landscape value.

After walking under the shade of the pines, you take your bikes back and return to the Bike Point around 6.00 pm.

The route includes about 12 km by bike and 3 km on foot.

It is recommended to wear appropriate clothing.

Boat trips must be paid directly to the service provider. Lunch is at the discretion and expense of the participants.
