8 things to do in September in Lignano!

By bike discovering the surroundings
Till mid September you can still take part to our accompanied bike tours (excursions will be activated with a minimum number of registrations).
Fat sand bike early in the morning or bike and boat tour to Grado and Marano are just a couple of the beautiful bike experiences that you can do with us.
If you prefer to go cycling on your own you can follow the tracks on the online maps we made for you.

Relax on the beach

Enjoy till the last drop of Summer relaxing on the beach: sun umbrellas and beach beds are available on Lignano Sabbiadoro seashore till 30th September, as well as the rescue service.

Discover the most beautiful cities of Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto regions

Latisana railway station is just 20 minutes far from Lignano Sabbiadoro: in about 1 hour by train you can easily reach Venice or Trieste.
If you prefer to stay “around” there are many little cozy cities that deserve a visit: Aquileia, Palmanova, Strassoldo, Portogruaro and Concordia Sagittaria, Sesto al Reghena, just to mention some of them.

Enjoy the local food and wine
Lignano Sabbiadoro is situated in a beautiful region, Friuli Venezia Giulia, which can praise an important food and wine tradition.
Spend a few hours, half a day or the whole day discovering the local food and wine: in Lignano hinterland there are wineries that make and sell wine and also farms that sell their products.

Play sport
If you like your holiday to be an active one, you have to know that in Lignano Sabbiadoro there are plenty of opportunities to stay fit: you can count on the SUP, windsurfing and sailing schools, have a swim or go running on the seashore.
If strong wind comes (it happens quite often) you can reach Isola delle Conchiglie and have some kitesurf!
By beach office n. 10 in Sabbiadoro you can find a fitness area with a gym for the whole month of September, while till 10th September you can still take part to the fitness and entertainment program of our animation team in the entertainment villages. 

Entertainment parks are open!
In September you can still visit Lignano entertainment parks having fun with friends and family. Aquasplash, Gulliverlandia and Gommosi playground are open til 10th September and – in case of good weather – they could extend their opening (please call them to check it out).
Parco Junior and Parco Zoo Punta Verde are open the whole September

Discover the lagoon
In September it’s nice to have some boat excursion in the lagoon, not just because of mild temperatures but even because the vegetation starts to change. You can address to the companies that organize boat tours or reach by car Marano Lagunare where you can visit the Natural Reserve Valle Canal Novo having walks in the nature and bird watching.
To mix sport and nature you can also live the magic experience of exploring the lagoon by kayak with the Laguna Experience.

September is rich in events!
Events don’t stop in September: Sup Race, Sunset Marathon, Aquaticrunner and Triathlon are the most important events that you can find year after year, moreover you can find many other smaller events that enrich the monthly program.
