Lignano – Villa Manin Bike Tour: through Marano and the Terre di Risorgiva

A slow and suggestive journey through one of the most fascinating landscapes of the Friulian plain: the resurgence grounds (terre di risorgiva).

EXCURSION DETAILS

The tour departs by e-bike from the Bike Point (Beach Office 7, Sabbiadoro) to reach the Darsena Porto Vecchio. From there, we set sail for Marano Lagunare via boat. Once we reach this coastal gem, we will discover its unique atmosphere: colorful houses overlooking the harbor, traditional fishing boats, and the salty scent of the lagoon.

After leaving the village, we cycle along flat secondary roads, immersed in the quiet of the Friulian countryside. Halfway through the route, we will cross the resurgence grounds—places where water resurfaces from the underground, creating a mosaic of canals, wet meadows, and small woodlands. The arrival at Villa Manin, near Codroipo, is breathtaking. This majestic Venetian villa, the residence of the last Doge of Venice, Ludovico Manin, welcomes cyclists with its history and art.

After a visit to the Villa, we return to the port of Marano Lagunare for the boat trip back to Lignano Sabbiadoro.

The excursion takes place every Thursday from June to mid-September.

Places are limited.

We recommend wearing suitable clothing.

The cost of the ferry ticket is payable by the participant.
