Pupi & Pini: di là del mare

“Pupi & Pini” returns to Lignano in 2026 – the street and puppet theatre festival dedicated to families. All shows are designed for a family audience. The common thread of the festival is the close connection between children’s literature and live performance, with many artists celebrated for their skill and creativity in scenic arts. The programme ranges from traditional oral tales to classic fairy tales, novels, and contemporary children’s stories.

At Hemingway Park in Lignano Pineta, on Monday, July 20th, the Walter Broggini Company and Ortoteatro will perform "Beyond the Sea," an actor's theater piece. After falling asleep by the sea, librarian Berto awakens in an unknown place. Thus begins a mysterious sea voyage to discover new cultures, customs, and traditions, all in the spirit of sharing. During his wanderings, Berto tells bizarre and entertaining stories using a mix of different techniques: storytelling, puppetry, marionettes, and puppets, reflecting the variety of his encounters.

The performance will be held at 9:30 PM.

Event organized by the Municipality of Lignano Sabbiadoro in collaboration with the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, the Spiaggia Viva Cuore Consortium and the Library of Lignano Sabbiadoro. Artistic direction of the Ortoteatro Società cooperativa Pordenone.
