From 25th to 27th June 2026 takes place the 42nd edition of Ernest Hemingway Prize in Lignano Sabbiadoro.
The Hemingway Prize is an important literary event created in honor of the writer who found in Lignano and its lagoon the pleasant retreat in different periods of his life.
The author of the book "The old man and the sea" deeply loved Venice and through the lagoon he discovered the little peninsula of Friuli Venezia Giulia situated between Venice and Trieste. He loved to call it "Italian Florida".
To thank him Lignano dedicated to the writer the public park and created the prize that praises many important names.
Free admission until seats are filled.
Reservations are recommended for the meetings by registering at www.premiohemingway.it by June 25th.
