From July 28th to October 31st, 2026, the Public Library of Lignano Sabbiadoro hosts the interactive exhibition “On Holiday with Attilio”, created and curated by Alessandra Cassinelli, daughter of the famous illustrator.
A Journey into Attilio’s World
The exhibition transforms the library spaces into a giant open book: large images, bright colors, and child-sized cutouts invite young visitors (and guests of all ages!) to experience his stories up close.
- Nature and Sustainability: The sea, forests, meadows, and animals come to life to send a message of love and respect for the environment, land, and water — values that have always been central to Attilio’s work.
- Tribute to the Classics: A large section is dedicated to traditional fairytale characters, with a special focus on Pinocchio, one of the illustrator's most beloved figures, in the bicentennial year of Carlo Collodi's birth.

Tuesday, July 28th | 5:00 PM
The opening will feature curator Alessandra Cassinelli, who will lead a guided tour to discover her father's extraordinary visual universe.
