Not(t)e di Cinema, part of the Midsummer Nights 2026 program of events, will be held on Friday, July 31st at the Alpe Adria Arena at 9:00 PM.
This symphonic event will take us on a live musical journey through some of the most famous pieces written for the big screen, intertwining masterpieces composed specifically for the cinema with pieces from the classical repertoire that have entered the collective imagination thanks to the seventh art.
From the overwhelming energy of the overture to Rossini's The Thieving Magpie, also immortalized by Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange, we move on to the melancholic elegance of Nino Rota's music for The Godfather and the suspended and unsettling atmospheres created by Bernard Herrmann for Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo. An evening combining music and cinema cannot miss Richard Wagner's celebrated Ride of the Valkyries, inextricably linked to the images of Apocalypse Now. The journey will then continue, immersing itself in the symphonic magic of John Williams' Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, culminating in the timeless epic of the Star Wars suite, one of the most extraordinary modern rebirths of the great Hollywood orchestral tradition.
This is a ticketed event. Advance tickets are available online at Vivaticket or at the Cavallerizza (former Caserma Osoppo, Udine) on Tuesdays from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm and Fridays from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, with on-site admission starting at 7:00 pm on the evening of the concert.
The concert is supported by the Ministry of Culture, the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, and the Municipality of Lignano Sabbiadoro. The main partners of the Stagione Diffusa are PrimaCassa FVG and beanTech.
