Lignano XC By Night 2026: The Mountain Bike Challenge Under the Stars

The allure of fat tires meets the enchanting atmosphere of the night in Lignano Sabbiadoro. On Thursday, July 9th, the trails of Hemingway Park will light up to host the thrilling nighttime mountain bike race "Lignano XC By Night," an event that promises spectacle, adrenaline, and fun for all two-wheel enthusiasts. The official start will be at 8:00 PM, ushering in an evening of pure sport under the starry sky.

The event is open to both competitive riders chasing the podium and amateurs looking to test themselves in a unique setting, just steps from the sea.

The route: 45 minutes of pure adrenaline

The race will take place on a technical and dynamic 1.5-kilometer circuit, expertly designed within the green areas and picturesque passages of Hemingway Park. Participants will have to repeat the circuit several times for a total duration of approximately 45 minutes, in a race against the clock that will require pace, concentration, and a keen eye. The combination of the darkness of the night and the illuminated course will make the experience memorable for both the runners and the spectators cheering along the route.

The event is organized by the ASD Team ZeroBike of Lignano Sabbiadoro, a long-time local reference for off-road cycling, guaranteeing high safety standards and a challenging course.

Participation and registration requirements

The LIGNANO XC BY NIGHT race is open to all athletes (competitive and amateur categories) who meet the following requirements:

Membership with the Italian Cycling Federation (FCI) or a Sports Promotion Body recognized by CONI.
For foreign athletes, membership with their respective UCI National Federations.
Membership for the 2026 season and valid medical certificate.
