Lignano Sunset Festival - Leprous

The Norwegians Leprous will take the stage at the Alpe Adria Arena next Saturday 13 July (9.30 pm). Among the contemporary progressive rock bands most appreciated by fans, the band led by the voice of Einar Solberg returns to Italy for a single exclusive date.

Leprous are a Norwegian progressive rock and metal band formed in 2001 in Notodden on the initiative of keyboardist and singer Einar Solberg and guitarist and singer Tor Oddmund Suhrke, who were later joined by drummer Truls Vennman, guitarist Esben Meyer Khristensen and bassist Stian Lonar, the latter respectively replaced by Kenneth Solberg and Halvor Strand between 2003 and 2004. In 2004 the group released their first demo "Silent Waters", consisting of three songs. Following the entry of the new drummer, in August 2008 Leprous recorded material for their debut album, after which they signed a recording contract with the American Sensory Records, which released the album on May 5, 2009 entitled “Tall Poppy Syndrome”. The second studio album, entitledBilateral”, was released on August 22, 2011, followed in March 2013 by the third studio album, entitled “Coal”. “The Congregation” (2015), “Malina” 2017, “Pitfalls” (2019), “Aphelion” (2021) complete the discography of the group, which has always been highly appreciated in the live dimension.
