On 17 July 2024, an opportunity for all tourists from Lignano Sabbiadoro to leave for the day to discover the cities of Gorizia and Nova Gorica with a completely free tour.
The Municipality of Gorizia in collaboration with the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region as part of the CROCEVIE D'EUROPA project, proposes an excursion by coach departing from Lignano Sabbiadoro which, with the Hop on-Hop off modality, will lead to the discovery of the sister cities by the border with free guided tour.
Departure is scheduled at 8.30 from the bus station on Via Amaranto in Sabbiadoro, at 8.45 from Pineta.
Limited places, registration required.
Here is the program:
- The main street Corso Italia, with Rimembranza Park, 19th-20th Century Palace, walking through important center street as Viale XXIV Maggio, Via Vittorio Veneto, Via della Scuola Agraria, Via Blaserna, Via Kugy, Via Alviano including S. Antonio Square and Cavour Square
- The Gorizia’s Castel and his village called “Borgo Castello” and his 17th century Leopoldina Gate
- Gorizia’s St. Ilario and Taziano Cathedral, Vittoria Square and its St. Ignatius Church
- Via Ascoli’s Synagogue and Jewish Ghetto
- The historic Italy-Slovenia border of Rafut
- Slovenian city of Dobrovo with a panoramic view from the St. Martin's tower
- Cross Solkan bridge to the centre of Nova Gorica until the Jewish Cemetery
- Return in Italy to Lignano.
