“Festa delle Cape” was born in 1984 from a venture of some professional fishermen. Later it was carried out by the Association A.P.S. “ Al mare” in Lignano Sabbiadoro. Its aim is to promote the fish of High Adriatic sea among residents and tourist, the funds raised during the event will be given in charity.
The association in partnership with the Municipality of Lignano Sabbiadoro and local volunteers its now at its 32^ edition.
Maintaining the old cooking traditions, at the festival are served the following specialties cappe lunghe (cannolicchi), pevarasse (vongole), sarde alla griglia, impannate, in saor, calamari and many other local delicious dishes.
In the past editions thanks to the fundraising the following associations and fundations have been helped AGMEN, La “Via di Natale”, Il Centro Trapianti di Organi, i Bambini in Emergenza ed alcune realtà private del territorio.
"Festa delle cape" takes place in Piazza Marcello d’Olivo in Lignano Pineta.
