The "Lignano Nel Terzo Millennio" Cultural Association is organizing the 26th edition of its creative writing workshop from Monday, July 27th to Friday, July 31st, 2026, at the Hotel President Lignano in Lignano Sabbiadoro.
The workshop is aimed at those who wish to deepen their literary skills and hone their narrative abilities, thanks to lessons taught by renowned writers and journalists. The writing workshop is made possible thanks to the patronage and support of the Municipality of Lignano Sabbiadoro, the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, Banca di Cividale, Banca360FVG, and numerous operators in the tourist resort. All these organizations and companies contribute to the cultural event "Meetings with the Author and with Wine," now in its twenty-eighth edition.
The courses take place in the morning from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm, with lessons and seminars led by renowned writers and journalists, offering a genuine writing workshop.
- Monday, July 27: Martina Delpiccolo "Between Fiction and Reality";
- Tuesday, July 28: Roberto Cescon "The Forms of Nature";
- Wednesday, July 29: Erica Barbiani "The Premise: The Necessary Engine of the Screenplay";
- Thursday, July 30: Michela Fregona "Bestiarium: The Construction of the Monster";
- Friday, July 31: Alberto Garlini "Why Villains Can Make Us Laugh".
The internship, in collaboration with Alberto Garlini, the teacher and coordinator of the writing school, aims to train participants and prepare them to write a book of short stories set in Lignano. The best stories will be selected and included in the book "Lignano: I'll Tell You - 2027 Edition," published by La Nuova Base in spring 2027. The authors of the short stories in the book will also present their work at one of the events of the summer 2027 edition of "Meetings with the Author and Wine."
Students of the course will be able to deliver their manuscripts to the association's headquarters by March 2027.
