Lignano Sabbiadoro Gestioni S.p.A. was founded on the 3rd March 2004
The company is a joint stock company with the majority of the share capital publically held in the form of a consortium. This means that it aims to create corporate profit but it must also reinvest the aforementioned profits in order to pursue the corporate purpose, via the renovation of the facilities and the marketing and promotion of the tourism product (from 2019 the last two, due to the introduction of the tourist tax, are managed together by a pool of representatives of Lignano Sabbiadoro Gestioni SpA, Lignano Sabbiadoro municipality, Promoturismo FVG, business owners and hoteliers).
Both Public Bodies (PromoturismoFVG, Udine-Pordenone Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts, the Town of Lignano Sabbiadoro), thematic consortia and private operators are part of the company.
The share capital amounts to €500,000.00. (five hundred thousand/00) and is fully paid.
The company is governed in a traditional way, via a board made up of nine directors, who are as follows:
Emanuele Rodeano (president), Roberto Falcone (vice-president), Antonio Bravo, Francesca Zaghis, Lorenzo Cicuttin, Tommaso Gasparini, Franco Gaiarsa, Luigi Sutto, Alessandro Del Zotto (council members).
The Board of Auditors, the supervisory body, is made up of: Stefano Chiarandini (President), accountant Marianna Turello, accountant Gianfranco Cervesato.
The safety officer for the effect of Italian Legislative Decree 81/2008 is Mrs. Alberta Simonetto.
The Company’s purpose is to organise, coordinate and promote activities that provide the substantial economic basis for the development of the consortium’s interests, relative to the management of economic tourist business interests in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, within the local context that falls under the same territorial area that is within the competence of the ex AIAT in Lignano Sabbiadoro and Marano Lagoon.
The operating structure envisages several dependant variables, depending on seasonal needs.
The structure includes a team of staff that report directly to the board of directors, according to operational powers.
Human resources are lead by the idea of having staff members that are equal, with little hierarchal structure, and a strong focus on team organisation with objectives.
The total number of employees should exceed 140 people during high season.
Currently Lignano Sabbiadoro Gestioni S.p.A manages two business areas: a seaside resort and a nautical area concerned with mooring and storage.
The seaside resort business is concerned with a section of Lignano Sabbiadoro beach, which amounts to around 2,000 metres on the sea front, 11 beach offices, 6000 beach umbrellas, four food and drink points, the Terrazza a Mare, a general store on the promenade, various kinds of vehicles for transporting materials and for cleaning the beach, as well as for supporting the businesses in advertising and marketing the tourist area.
The nautical area includes a mooring service for around 400 boats that are between 5 and 14 metres in length, winter storage for around 30 boats, hauling, launching and small related services.
A section of the mooring jetties are used for nautical services involved in passenger transport and nautical tourism.
There are also enough parking spaces for 170 cars available to users of the Harbour.
