Beach made easy: the free shuttle bus returns to Lignano Sabbiadoro
From Sunday, June 22 and for every Sunday in June, July and August, including Ferragosto, you can reach the Sabbiadoro beach for free, avoiding the exhausting search for parking.
Once you arrive in Lignano, you just have to park your car comfortably (and for free) at the Luna Park parking area in viale Europa and get on the bus that will take you to beach of Sabbiadoro at no cost.
This experimental free service was launched by the Municipal Administration of Lignano Sabbiadoro in collaboration with Lignano Sabbiadoro Gestioni Spa, the Consorzio Spiaggia Viva Cuore and the Tavolo Lignano 2030, with the aim of encouraging, in particular among commuters, the spread of a more sustainable way of reaching the beach both on an economic, environmental and social level.
Duration and stops
The shuttle bus service will be active from 9.00 am to 8.00 pm, departing every 30 minutes, on the following days:
- 22 and 29 June
- 6, 13, 20 and 27 July
- 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 August
Along the route there are six stops planned on the Sabbiadoro seafront, near the beach offices n. 3, 5/6, 8/9, 11/12, 16/17 and the last bus departing from Lungomare Trieste towards the Luna Park car park will be at 7.30pm.
