Trieste and the Caves of Postojna

From June to September, with departures every Thursday (except for the week of Ferragosto - check the dates below), you can join a one-day trip departing by Gran Turismo coach from Lignano Sabbiadoro, taking you to one of Italy’s most beautiful cities, the stunning Trieste, and the nearby Slovenian Postojna Caves.

Trieste and Postojna Caves Excursion Program

Departure by Gran Turismo coach or minivan from the meeting points.

In the morning, enjoy a guided tour of Trieste, a city that blends Austro-Hungarian architecture and Roman remains, historic cafés, and castles. Piazza Unità d'Italia, San Giusto, and the Borgo Teresiano are the highlights of the tour.

In the afternoon, continue to the Postojna Caves, one of the most spectacular karst complexes in the world. The guided tour will take you through galleries, halls, and limestone sculptures formed by nature over millions of years, with a ride on an underground train.

Return in the evening.
