The Lignano Punta Verde Zoo spans over 100,000 square metres between the two banks of the Tagliamento River, in the north west of the peninsula, and is home to more than 1000 animals that belong to around 150 species, including Mammals, Birds and Reptiles.

Zoo Park in Lignano takes care of the animals also through the recreation of the original habitats of the animal hosted in the park, with big attention to the floral species. Together with the native plants you can admire tropical species surviving the local weather thanks to little lakes connected to thermal springs with 30° hot water. In this way even the most exotic animals can live comfortably in the park.
