“The Sea Is Their Home” is a campaign created by LAV with the support of the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, and the Italian Coast Guard – General Command of the Harbour Offices.
The goal is to teach children to respect all marine animals.
Look, but don’t touch: in 2025, they’re once again on Italian beaches to help children and families learn to respect all the inhabitants of the sea and the coast!
With several stops along Italy’s coastline, LAV volunteers aim to raise awareness among beachgoers about respecting ecosystems and their inhabitants.
Through printed and multimedia materials, they spread the message of protecting marine animals, coastal life, and their environment.
The Sea Is Their Home will stop in Lignano Sabbiadoro on Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 16:00 to 18:00 at the Beach Village (Beach Office 7 in Sabbiadoro).
