Pupi & Pini: Steam folk di queste e altre lande

“Pupi & Pini” returns in 2025, the street and puppet theatre festival dedicated to families. All shows are aimed at a family audience. The common thread of the festival is the strong link between children's literature and live performance, with many artists known for their talent and professionalism in the scenic arts, from traditional oral tales to novels, classic fairy tales to contemporary texts.

Monday, July 14 at 9:30 PM, the Steam Folk Parade from These and Other Lands will liven up the streets of downtown Lignano Sabbiadoro.
Organized by Il Grande Cantagiro Barattoli with Sara Zilli, Annamaria Andrei, Alberto Mammollino, and Stefano Michelotti.

A motley crew of loafers and charlatans, jesters with no trade nor title, acrobats and storytellers from another age: these are the eccentric members of one of the most light-hearted music-theatre troupes known to mankind.

Get ready to hear timeless melodies, frenzied dances, tales of labor, and distant sailors’ songs.
Every song tells a story, every tune is a reason to dance, and every prank—whether planned or improvised—is designed to make you smile.
So come along! Follow this travelling theatre of bolts and gears, dance with its mechanical puppets, and be captivated by costumes stolen from the folds of time!

Event organized by the Municipality of Lignano Sabbiadoro in collaboration with the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, the Spiaggia Viva Cuore Consortium and the Library of Lignano Sabbiadoro. Artistic direction of the Teatro del Drago in Ravenna.
