“Pupi & Pini” returns in 2025, the street and puppet theatre festival dedicated to families. All shows are aimed at a family audience. The common thread of the festival is the strong link between children's literature and live performance, with many artists known for their talent and professionalism in the scenic arts, from traditional oral tales to novels, classic fairy tales to contemporary texts.
Monday, August 4, at the Municipal Library of Lignano Sabbiadoro, the company Liberipensatori Paul Valery presents the puppet and author theatre show “Pimpa’s Little House”.
By Francesco Tullio Altan
Directed by Oliviero Corbetta
With Stefania Rosso and Alessandra Ruffino
Pimpa, the little dog so loved by Italian children, was created by Altan’s pen in May 1975. Along with her, a magical world came to life, populated by animals and animated objects.
In this show, every child can identify with Pimpa and participate in her dreams, fantasies, and adventures. It’s a meaningful narrative universe, an alternative to the hyper-technological and computerized world children often experience in today’s educational and cultural environments.
Pimpa looks out the window and invites all who listen and love her to play, to be passionate about life and its unpredictable surprises.
The show starts at 9:00 PM.
Free admission.
Event organized by the Municipality of Lignano Sabbiadoro in collaboration with the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, the Spiaggia Viva Cuore Consortium and the Library of Lignano Sabbiadoro. Artistic direction of the Teatro del Drago in Ravenna.
