“Pupi & Pini” returns to Lignano in 2025 – the street and puppet theatre festival dedicated to families. All shows are designed for a family audience. The common thread of the festival is the close connection between children’s literature and live performance, with many artists celebrated for their skill and creativity in scenic arts. The programme ranges from traditional oral tales to classic fairy tales, novels, and contemporary children’s stories.
Wednesday, August 6th, in Corso delle Nazioni, Lignano Riviera will host the travelling show "Alice in Wonderland", with actors and theatrical figures.
The performance is brought to life by Compagnia degli Sbuffi, written and performed by Aldo de Martino, Serena Mazzei, and Ciro Pauciullo.
“Alice in Wonderland” tells the story of a girl named Alice who falls through a rabbit hole into a fantastical world inhabited by strange anthropomorphic creatures.
In this version, it is Lewis Carroll himself who comes out of a giant book to explain to the audience that the main characters from his story – Alice, the White Rabbit, the Mad Hatter, and the Queen of Hearts – have all escaped, leaving only the secondary characters behind. Forced to act, Carroll steps out from the preface of his book to go find his beloved characters.
The performance will begin at 9:00 PM.
Free admission.
Event organized by the Municipality of Lignano Sabbiadoro in collaboration with the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, the Spiaggia Viva Cuore Consortium and the Library of Lignano Sabbiadoro. Artistic direction of the Teatro del Drago in Ravenna.
