Notti di Mezza Estate - Epistolario d'amore

Midsummer Nights is a series that weaves together words, music, and theatre under the stars, set in two “stages of emotions and beauty”: the park of the Church of Santa Maria del Mare and the garden of the Church of San Zaccaria.
Now in its fifth edition, with artistic direction by Mario Brandolin, the programme follows an artistic path dedicated to the most universal of feelings: love.
From famous letters to literary tales, from theatrical recitals to concerts spanning tango, jazz, and soundtracks, each event explores a different shade of love: passionate, ironic, romantic, disillusioned.

Alongside prominent actors, writers and artists, the Filarmonici Friulani Youth Orchestra is a key presence throughout the programme, featuring in musical readings and ensemble concerts.
Midsummer Nights is a project by the Municipality of Lignano Sabbiadoro and the Filarmonici Friulani Youth Orchestra.

🎭 The first event of the series, "Love Letters", will take place on Tuesday, July 15, at 9:00 PM at the Church of San Zaccaria in Lignano Sabbiadoro.
A dramatic reading conceived by Mario Brandolin, written and performed by Martina Delpiccolo and Fabiano Fantini, with musical interludes by Nicola Tirelli.

A journey through the most beautiful love correspondences: from that of Abelard and Heloise in the early 12th century to the letters between Mozart and his Constanze, from the passionate exchanges between Eleonora Duse and Gabriele D’Annunzio to the fiery and daring letters between Nora and James Joyce, and more.
The letters come to life in a unique stage reading that captures diverse personalities, contexts, languages, and forms of love, in a swirl of vivid thoughts and timeless passions.
