Midsummer Nights is a cultural series that intertwines words, music, and theatre under the stars, in two “stages of emotion and beauty”: the park of the Church of Santa Maria del Mare and the garden of the Church of San Zaccaria.
The fifth edition of the festival, under the artistic direction of Mario Brandolin, offers an artistic journey devoted to the most universal feeling: love. From famous letter collections to literary tales, from theatrical recitals to concerts embracing tango, jazz, and film soundtracks, each event explores a different nuance of love: passionate, ironic, romantic, disillusioned.
Alongside renowned actors, writers, and artists, the Filarmonici Friulani Youth Orchestra plays a leading role in the series, offering musical readings and ensemble concerts.
Midsummer Nights is a project of the Municipality of Lignano Sabbiadoro and the Filarmonici Friulani Youth Orchestra.
All events begin at 9:00 PM.

On Tuesday, August 19 at 9:00 PM, the concert "Brass_Love" will be held at the Church of Santa Maria del Mare, performed by the brass ensemble of the Filarmonici Friulani Youth Orchestra.
Since the earliest days of silent films, love has been a central theme in cinema, and film music has evolved alongside it — becoming not just accompaniment but a genre of its own. Following the common thread of love, the concert program spans some of the greatest soundtracks of all time, from West Side Story to The Phantom of the Opera, presented in original arrangements for brass quintet.
Event cancelled in case of rain.
