Representation for the Remembrance Day

The event is held on the national Remembrance Day of 10 February, a recurrence established to preserve and renew the memory of the tragedy suffered by Italians and all the victims of the Foibe massacres, as well as the exodus of the Istrian, Fiuman and Dalmatian populations after World War II, and the complex historical events related to the eastern border.
The initiative is promoted by the University of All Ages of Lignano Sabbiadoro “Nelly Del Forno” – APS, in collaboration with the Municipality of Lignano Sabbiadoro, and represents an important opportunity to deepen the understanding of the dramatic events that marked the history of our Region.
The performance, curated by TEATRO IN… STABILE of Bibione, offers a historical and human representation based on memories and testimonies of those who personally experienced this painful tragedy, including the exiles who settled in the community of Bibione – San Michele al Tagliamento.
