Festa delle Cape 2026 - 41st edition

The most anticipated season-opening event in Lignano Sabbiadoro is the “Festa delle Cape”.

Born in 1984 from the idea of a few professional fishermen and later organized by the A.P.S. “Al Mare” Association of Lignano Sabbiadoro, the Festa delle Cape 2026 will take place in Piazza Marcello d’Olivo in Lignano Pineta during lunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday, March 7-8 and 14-15, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

The event, now a true Lignano tradition, aims to promote the seafood of the Adriatic Sea to both residents and tourists, while also donating the proceeds to charity. In recent editions, beneficiaries included Una Mano per Vivere, Ass. Trapiantati Fegato FVG, Caritas Lignano Sabbiadoro, Parrocchia, Ass. Lotta Sclerosi Multipla, LILT, Anvolt, Dynamo Camp, Ass. Luca Onlus, as well as other local organizations.

The menu features classic local dishes such as cannolicchi (razor clams), pevarasse (clams), grilled sardines, breaded sardines, sardines in saor, calamari, and other Adriatic specialties.

HOW IT WORKS:
At the entrance gazebo, you will find a ticket dispenser. Take a ticket and fill out the order form with the dishes and drinks you want. When your number is called at the cash registers, pay for your order and receive a number for the kitchen. The kitchen will call your number once your order is ready.

Due to high attendance, long lines are expected, so it is recommended to arrive early. The ticket dispenser is available about 15 minutes before the cash registers open.

RULES:

PRE-NUMBER: At 10:45 AM and 4:30 PM on each opening day, a pre-number and menu can be collected. Once capacity is full, no more pre-numbers will be issued.
CASH REGISTER: Opens at 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Your pre-number will be displayed on the screen. You will receive a summary receipt, tickets for each order, and a kitchen number. Filling out your menu in advance speeds up the process.
KITCHEN: Opens at 11:30 AM and 5:30 PM. Present your number and tickets (except bar and clam tickets) to collect your order.

BAR: Drinks can be collected directly at the bar.
CLAMS: Collect clams at the dedicated stand.

ATTENTION: Orders may be suspended if they exceed kitchen capacity. The ticket dispenser may be removed before cash registers and kitchen close. If still open after serving current orders, you can join the queue to place your order.
