Natale d'A... mare returns to Lignano Sabbiadoro and as per tradition it will be full of activities for adults and children. The event will start on the 7th December 2023 and it will continue until the 7th January 2024: a whole month of Christmas celebrations for residents and visitors who will be able to enjoy the many attractions designed to enliven the seaside resort in the winter period.

During the event - which also this year will take place in Sabbiadoro in an area between Piazza Fontana, the Terrazza a Mare and Parco San Giovanni Bosco - visitors will find all the traditional elements of the Natale d'A...mare in Lignano, from the Sand Nativity to the Food Village passing through the entertainment area of ​​Santa Claus' Village, enriched with some interesting news!

The Sand Nativity

The Sand Nativity turns 20 this year and for the occasion we wanted to pay homage to Lignano and the area between the Stella and Tagliamento rivers and between the sea and the lagoon. The idea that drives the XX edition of the Sand Nativity was inspired by the recurrence, in this 2023, of the 120th anniversary of "seaside history", leading to the transfiguration of the places and landscapes of Lignano and the neighboring territories in a path that crosses their natural and historical landscape: a sort of "guide with images" that invites the visitor to stop in some places of particular impact transformed, as if by magic, into Nativity scenes.

A delicious Christmas at the Food Village

More than 20 food exhibitors will find their place on Viale Gorizia and Lungomare Trieste in the stretch between Terrazza a Mare and Beach Office 6 where it will be possible to savor delicacies ranging from sweet to savoury. You will find a wide food and wine offering that ranges from typical regional dishes and wines, exotic and international flavours, sweets... and much more!

Delights to be enjoyed while strolling in true street food style, but not only, in fact in correspondence with the kiosks there will be a covered area with seats where you can comfortably taste the dishes even on days when the weather is less clement.

For those who want to go shopping (Christmas and beyond) in addition to the commercial offer of the locality, do not miss the special area dedicated to Christmas decorations, scarves, caps and handmade crafts.

The world of entertainment of Santa Claus Village

After the success of the last editions, the magic in San Giovanni Bosco Park is renewed and enriched with the "Santa Claus' Village".

In addition to the Lignano Carrousel horse carousel which is now a confirmed presence in the area, there will be Christmas-themed inflatables and carousels for children, stands with themed sweets and the constant presence of Santa Claus who will wait for the little ones until 24th December to receive the their letters. From the 25th onwards, Santa Claus will still be present to entertain the little ones with lots of fun games.

And do you want to put the thrill of ice skating? In the same area, an ice rink of 300 square meters awaits you! Guaranteed fun!

Also for the 2023 edition of Christmas in Lignano Sabbiadoro, the Lignano Express, the tourist train loved by tourists and residents, will guarantee a free special service for the entire duration of the event, taking you on a unique and special visit through the streets of the centre.
To the delight of adults and children, it will be possible to get on board from Parco San Giovanni Bosco and then pass through Viale Tolmezzo, Piazza Fontana, Via Carnia and Via Aquileia before returning to the starting point.

Emotions of lights

Two artistic installations will enrich our city this year during the festive period: the facade of the Pineta church and a building in the center of Sabbiadoro (via Tolmezzo) will light up with images, colors and Christmas suggestions in video mapping.

There will also be no shortage of traditional lights installed in the key points of the town which will help warm up the atmosphere and give it that traditional Christmas feel. In Piazza Fontana you will then find the traditional Christmas tree, this year with a new look waiting to be discovered.
