Bicycle trips
Exploring Lignano and its surroundings slowly and sustainably is easy: a bicycle (or an e-bike for the less athletic who still want to take in the longer trails) is all you need. You can bike tour Lignano by cycling between the seafront and the lagoon, or get to the nearby Bibione (updates coming soon on the dates for the X River ferry across the Tagliamento). If you are a true athlete and want to clock up some miles, you can cycle to Marano, Portogruaro or Concordia Sagittaria.
Use our geolocalised maps featuring all of the trails we have planned in Lignano and its surrounding area. And if you need to hire a bicycle, check out our list of bike hire operators in Lignano.

Kite surfing and SUP outings
Since 2019 Somewhere Tours organises personalised SUP outings between the sea and the lagoon. Plus, thanks to a pontoon boat – a small vessel for transporting people and equipment – and to the partnership with A.S.D. Tiliaventum, diehard kiters can be taken to the island near Faro Rosso to go kite surfing in total freedom.

Canoeing at Bilancia di Bepi
Do you find kite surfing a little extreme? Well we can offer you another “slow” experience, suitable for all: visit Bilancia di Bepi, an old fishing hut on the lagoon and explore the lagoon by canoe. Daniele, the owner, will take you along the canals where as you can see aquatic birds, flora and fisherman’s houses as you paddle. At the end of the trip, you can see how Chinese fishing net is used and sample a fry up of freshly caught fish.
-
Boat trips on the lagoon
Also perfect for families are boat trips on the lagoon: there are lots of operators which, leaving mainly from the Darsena di Porto Vecchio di Lignano Sabbiadoro, organise trips on the Marano lagoon and to the fisherman’s houses, along the river Stella, to the Lignano islands and as far as Grado and Marano by sea. In some cases you can have lunch on board, sampling local fish delicacies, other times you will be taken inside a real fishermen’s house.
Contact the organisers directly to find out about availability and conditions.

Fun parks
While it might be too early for shooting down the slides of the aqua park Aquasplash, family fun is still guaranteed at other fun parks open for Easter in Lignano: Parco Junior and Parco Zoo Punta Verde.
The attractions at Parco Junior cater for smaller kids who can jump on bouncy castles, swim around ball pools, take the adventure trail, drive electric cars, sail on large swans (and much more). At Parco Zoo , animals take centre stage, and big and small kids alike can observe them, see their enclosures and maybe even take part in the close encounters scheduled for certain times of the day.

NIght Life
For the youngest people who, after these last years of stop, want to restart and party together tasting the scent of the approaching summer, at Easter it will be possible to dance again in one of the two historical discos of our seaside destination. Mr. Charlie and Kursaal Club will be open and ready to entertain you! -
Relaxation
If sports and daytrips sound good but only when combined with some relaxation, we have some suggestions for you too. The first is to book a hotel in Lignano with a wellness centre, so that after a day on the trot you can return to your hotel and relax in a sauna or Turkish bath for a few hours before dinner. The Centro Messegué at the Terme di Lignano offers beauty treatments and massages. Then, just a 15-minute drive will take you to the nearby Terme di Bibione where you can pamper yourself amidst the indoor heated pools and a large wellness area.
