🏖️ Bau Beach, the dog-friendly free beach
Located to the left of the Red Lighthouse, this is one of the two non-equipped free beaches where dogs are allowed. The entrance is situated between the Tahiri Beach Restaurant and Marina Resort Punta Faro.
In recent years, this area has gained ecological importance as the Fratino (Kentish plover), a small protected bird that had not been seen for a long time, has returned to nest here and is now under protection.
🏖️ Free Beach at the Red Lighthouse
Located to the right of the lighthouse and accessible from Lungomare Marin, this beach extends to the Doggy Beach. Although not particularly deep, its approximately 150-meter length provides ample space for visitors.
The nearby Punta Faro Beach is perfect for a lunch break, an aperitif, or an ice cream, while Somewheretours offers pedal boat, SUP rentals, and boat trips departing directly from the beach.
🏖️ Free Beach between Beach Office 1 and 1bis
This small stretch of non-equipped beach is accessible from Lungomare Marin near Via Paluzza. In addition to the proximity of bars and restaurants along the promenade, it also offers easy access to free restrooms and showers at Beach Office 1, as well as a bocce court near Office 1bis.

This very narrow, non-equipped strip of beach is about 100 meters deep and accessible from Lungomare Trieste. The convenience of free restrooms and showers at the nearby Beach Office 1ter is definitely a plus.

This spacious, freely accessible beach area is located in the very heart of Sabbiadoro Beach. It offers many amenities, including kiosks and restaurants, a calisthenics structure at the beach entrance, Boat Tours Lignano with SUP and pedal boat rentals, jet ski rentals, and boat excursions to the islands.
🏖️ Free Beach between Beach Office 16 and 17
This beach area is nestled between Beach Office 17 and the historic Bar Gabbiano, where writer Giorgio Scerbanenco once wrote his noir novels.
Accessible from Lungomare Trieste near Via Carinzia, this free beach is just steps away from the Family Village, Lignano Sabbiadoro Gestioni’s free entertainment area, offering fitness activities for adults and a kids' club from June to early September.

Accessible from the last stretch of Lungomare Trieste, just before the pine forest and dune system of Villaggio Bella Italia, this free beach is also open to dogs.
Like the other non-equipped beaches, it offers essential services, including public restrooms at the adjacent Beach Offices 18 and 19, as well as food and drink options at Bar Perla and Beach Bar Sabbiadoro.
