Easy Fish - the Northern Adriatic Fish Festival will be back in Lignano Sabbiadoro on 6 and 7 September

The tastiest culinary event in Lignano is ready to return with a mix of great news and tradition!

Easy Fish, the event dedicated to the world of cuisine, the food and wine specialties of Friuli Venezia Giulia and fish from the Upper Adriatic, reaches its 8th edition this year. The traditional Upper Adriatic Fish Festival will take place on Friday 6th and Saturday 7th September 2024 in a new location to be discovered between the Lungomare Trieste, the Beach Village and the beach office 7 of Lignano Sabbiadoro.

Also this edition will be hosted and presented by Fabrizio Nonis, aka El Bekér butcher, expert gastronome and famous face of Italian culinary tv programmes.

There will be three areas present to offer the public a 360-degree experience

Street Food Area

Fish & Regional Street Food: The taste of fish and regional specialties for evrybody

On the Lungomare Trieste you will find the Fish&Regional Street Food Area dedicated to the world of fish and regional specialties. There will be six exhibitors present this year, both local and regional, who will offer recipes ranging from traditional mixed fried food, to delicious fish burgers, to the curious combination of oysters and craft beers, up to the classic fish & chips.

Friday and Saturday from 5pm to midnight

Showcooking Area

When flavor becomes pure spectacle

At the Beach Village (beach office 7 in Sabbiadoro) will be set up the Showcooking Area, where on both evenings will be held special free showcooking sessions with the participation of great local chefs, well-known faces from the most famous cooking TV programs and guests of 'exception and presented by Fabrizio Nonis.

The program includes a first showcooking at 6.30pm on Friday 6 September and at 7.00pm on Saturday 7 September during which two pairs of local and regional chefs will join forces in the kitchen to produce two recipes that combine the tastes of the Adriatic Sea with those of regional cuisine.

  • On Friday 6 September, Matteo Susan from La Pigna restaurant in Lignano Pineta with Edoardo Zanelli from the Balan restaurant in Lignano Sabbiadoro will take the stage together with Federico Mariutti from Osteria Turlonia in Fiume Veneto combined with the Cepele brothers from Mandi - Parentesi Friulana in Lignano Sabbiadoro.
  • On Saturday 7 September the match will be between Rudi Santuz of The Taste & Al Bancut Restaurant of the Hotel Monaco with Camillo Rispoli of the Voce del Mare Restaurant, both located in Lignano Sabbiadoro, and Andrea Natali of the Odio il Brodo Restaurant in Trieste with Riccardo and Mattia Vacca, chefs of Ricky Hostaria of Lignano Pineta.

Followed by a second showcooking at 8.30 pm which will bring great television stars and special guests to the stage:

  • On Friday 6 September, Giusi Battaglia, YouTuber and TV face on the Food Network channel with her program “Giusina in Cucina”, will be on stage at the Beach Village, followed by Daniel Canzian, renowned chef coming from a family of restaurateurs from Lignano and currently President of JRE-Jeunes Restaurateurs.
  • On Saturday 7 September it will be the turn of Roberto Valbuzzi, chef and television presenter, followed by the Friulian athlete Mara Navarria, new gold medalist at the 2024 Paris Olympics in the team epee specialty.

At the beach office 7 you will find:

Regional wine shop

Each recipe is paired with a regional wine that enhances its flavours

The third of the identifying areas of this edition of Easy Fish will be the Regional Enoteca located in a special space adjacent to the show area where, with their feet in the sand, guests will be able to sip the best wine labels of the Wine and Flavor Route from Friuli Venezia Giulia selected and presented by AIS sommeliers.

For the occasion, will also be set up a lounge area near the Regional Enoteca to allow guests to taste the dishes and wines chosen in total relaxation surrounded by a magical atmosphere.

The event, sponsored by the Municipality of Lignano Sabbiadoro, is organized by Lignano Sabbiadoro Gestioni in collaboration with the IO SONO FRIULI VENEZIA brand and the artistic direction of Sconfinando in the person of Fabrizio Nonis and his team.
