Lignano Sabbiadoro beach, long and spacious, is perfect for many daytime activities, as well as evening events. You can spend the day going between a water aerobics lesson and sunbathing, a snack at one of the huts on the beach and a barefoot aperitif.
The Sabbiadoro area, considered to be the historical centre of the seaside resort, stands out from the crowd thanks to its central avenue, which was recently renovated and is designed exclusively for pedestrians. It holds the shop fronts of many famous brands, modern bars and clubs and characteristic wine bars, as well as ice-cream shops and amusement arcades for the entertainment of the littlest ones.
Piazza Fontana is the central meeting place in Lignano Sabbiadoro and is surrounded by several bars and ice-cream shops.
When the sun goes down in Sabbiadoro you will find restaurants and American bars, shops open until late and the Terrazza a Mare, with its cocktails and music.
On the most easterly point of Lignano Sabbiadoro you find the old red lighthouse, faro rosso in Italian, which was also recently restored and is in constant use by fishermen.
The red lighthouse is located at the end of a long, wooden boardwalk. It is not very big but has solar panels. From here the view stretches out over the whole of Marano Lagoon until it reaches the Adriatic Sea.
