A flat territory to travel by bike with the minimum of effort, cycle paths and secondary roads with little traffic that guarantee a safe ride for the whole family and itineraries that enter the green of the pinewoods, alongside the sea and the lagoon...
These are just a few of the reasons that make Lignano Sabbiadoro simply perfect to explore on two wheels! Do you want to discover them all?
Cycling around Lignano Sabbiadoro
The peninsula of Lignano Sabbiadoro is bathed by the gentle waves of the Adriatic, by the placid waters of the lagoon of Lignano and Marano as well as by the flow of the River Tagliamento, one of the rivers in Europe least modified by human activities. These waters provide many varied views, all of them breathtaking and there is no better way to discover them than slowly, on a bike.
Pedaling, you will realize that the long lagoon cycle path is ideal to cover at sunset time to admire the warm rays of the sun reflected on the water and the herons soaring in flight. In complete safety on the seafront cycle path you will observe the 8 km of Lignano beach from your bicycle while in the early morning you can participate in free excursions on the beach with fat-tyred sand bikes. And all this while staying within the confines of Lignano Sabbiadoro!
