Excursion from Lignano to Spilimbergo in e-bike

A tour with the e-bike to discover Spilimbergo and its territory: a fascinating journey between the Renaissance and the art of mosaic. 

EXCURSION DETAILS

Starting from the square in front of the Terrazza a Mare, thanks to a free transfer organized by Lignano Sabbiadoro Gestioni you will reach Latisana. The tour that takes you to discover the beauties of Spilimbergo and its territory officially starts from here. Following the Tagliamento cycle path (the FVG6) visitors will be able to discover the beauty and landscape suggestions of the Tagliamento river. Then you will reach Codroipo where, crossing the Ponte della Delizia, you will pass to the opposite bank of the river. From here to the desired destination, you will travel along dirt roads that cross silent villages and expanses of vineyards that will allow you to meet some Renaissance beauties spread throughout the Spilimbergo area.

Tourists will be accompanied to discover the historic center, the Cathedral, the Castle, the Palazzo di Sopra with its belvedere. The city of medieval origin is also full of mysterious places, each of which hides a past to be discovered. The guide will tell ancient legends and sagas, curious anecdotes that will take visitors back to the Spilimbergo of the past.

After lunch (at the expense of the hiker), in one of the places where it is possible to taste local recipes made with the typical products of Spilimbergo (cod, pitina, cured meats, cheeses, the sweet specialties dedicated to the city, wines from the Grave del Friuli and much more), visitors will continue the day immersed in mosaic art through the discovery of the open-air museum with the mosaics spread throughout the city and a visit to the Mosaic School of Friuli.)

From June to mid-September, alternating Fridays, we will leave Lignano by e-bike to discover Spilimbergo and the surrounding area. The departure is scheduled at 8:00 from the square in front of Terrazza a Mare, where we will return approximately at 18:00.
