EXCURSION DETAILS

Starting from the square in front of the Terrazza a Mare, head towards the cycle path that runs along the Tagliamento embankment, and then, at Gorgo, take the dirt road that leads to Precenicco. Then you cross the cycle bridge over the Stella river, another stretch of dirt road up to the most awaited point of the route with the crossing of the famous Muzzana wood.

The arrival is expected in the town of Marano Lagunare, where you can enjoy a good plate of pasta with freshly caught fish (lunch to be paid by the excursionist) at the end of which you will return to Lignano by motorboat*.

You can take part in the Marano Lagunare bike excursion from June to mid-September, every Thursday, departing at 08.15 am from the square in Terrazza a Mare and returning at about 3.00 pm.

The total length of the bicycle route is about 40 kilometers and is tackled by city bike. Given the length of the route and the long stretches of dirt road, it is advisable to participate in the excursion only if you are well prepared.
