On Friday 12 August 2022 the concert by Irene Grandi will be held at Piazza Marcello D'Olivo.
A new concert, made up of international and Italian songs ranging from the 60s to the 90s, of blues inspiration: Etta James, Otis Redding, but also Pino Daniele, Battisti, Mina ... just to name a few. There will also be songs from Irene's repertoire in a rock-blues arrangement.
"In this suspended, difficult, lost time, I finally found my inspiration by going back to my roots. - So explains Irene Grandi - The blues has always resonated inside me, it excites me and in the years of my training it had a great impact on my musical world and my voice. In this moment that kept us away from each other, uncertain about the future, upset by so many changes and saddened by the fate of the most fragile, I had a hard time finding inspiration and momentum, until I stopped looking for something new and immersed myself into something I knew, loved but hadn't practiced for a long time. I wanted to remember where I come from and go back to my roots, hoping to find a greater rootedness and a new strength to react to this black period… with the blue of the blues. Also accept the melancholy of this long dramatic period we are experiencing, listen to it and sing it ... with what better color than the blues? Because the Blues is roots, it is a mother, it welcomes you into its big arms. "
To participate in the free concert, no reservation is required and you will be able to access freely while seats last.
